Range USA Mokena

Been here a few times over the last month. EVERY time I’ve went the customer service has been TERRIBLE. First time I sat there for over 20 min JUST to purchase ammo while the staff was joking around amongst each other. The second time I was coming in to fill out paperwork for an online order. Once again I sat around patiently because staff was assisting other customers. Meanwhile I saw a guy sitting on the computer look up at me twice but never got up to help. After 30 minutes one of the employees asked if I needed help while still assisting another customer. When I told her yes, she said apologized and said that she would get someone. Lo and behold she told the SAME guy that made eye contact with me TWICE that I needed assistance and he got up and came right over. The LAST time I went up there, it was to pickup my online purchase after my background check which NO ONE called to notify me of. When I got there 2 customers were in the store with 4 employees helping them. Or at least I thought. Come to find out only one guy was making a purchase while the other one, along with the three other employees were chatting it up about past experiences. I get it…. Store’s empty so there’s time to sit around and chat. No way on EARTH Should that be happening while myself as well as another waiting customer are waiting (that magic number again) 20 minutes for assistance. The guy waiting with me had enough and said he’d just go somewhere else and I wished I COULD have. It took the same lady that got me help a couple days earlier, to come from the back and FINALLY get the ball rolling on getting me outta there. Will NEVER visit this location again.

Had a bad experience with an arrogant employee my first time at this range, was forced to take my ccl class here because it was the only place that held a class on the weekend I had available. The class ended up being great and Tami was an amazing instructor. She made me rethink how I felt about this range and I will definitely be back because of her.

My wife and I attended the Basic hand gun safety class in Mokena IL. Our instructor was Stephanie. From the moment the class began, Stephanie stressed safety, safety and safety. She took extra time to explain to those who had never used a hand gun, my wife included, all aspects of gun ownership. From correct stance, loading a magazine, chambering a round and finally range time, Stephanie explained it all. If you are new to gun ownership, take the time to attend this class. It is well worth the time and money.

The Gentleman on the range is fantastic, though the POS attention could use alot of work . Confusion, confusion, confusion. I made a range appointment on a sat for 10AM I didn't get on a lane until 10:50 even though all my paperwork was in order. A member in front of our group was having issues with his membership ,instead of addressing him at another station to allow other patrons in, we painfully had to watch additional members assist in slowing the entry process evermore. incompetence at its finest.

Rick Ramos is a great instructor for the Illinois Concealed Carry class. Rick Ramos made the class very entertaining as well as stressing the importance of safety and responsibility! I had absolutely no experience going in and left with an abundance of knowledge. Rick deployed a safety-first approach and his well timed intensity drove home the critical points. Rick was explaining things where I could easily understand them. Rick truly cared about his students.

I used to love this place, until they sold one of my cousins a Lemon Firearm. Then they decided not to give him store credit or even offer to send it to the manufacturer to have it fixed. The firearm was sold brand new from FN but upon inspection from a gun smith, he determined the gun was previously used and not in fact brand new. So I just want people to be aware of what you might expect when purchasing from this establishment. The BBB and the Illinois Department of Business was contacted.
